Job summary

Advanced Recovery Systems, LLC seeks a Payroll Administrator to support multiple behavioral health programs across our organization. You will process payroll, audit employee data in ADP, and help ensure accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.

You will collaborate with the Payroll Director and other departments, participate in month-end closes and audits, and contribute to improving payroll systems and policies to serve our employees and locations nationwide.

Qualifications

  • Minimum associate's degree in finance or accounting.
  • In lieu of Associate's Degree, minimum 5 years' payroll experience.
  • Minimum five years' experience in payroll position; multi-state payroll experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll and audit employee data in the payroll system.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain payroll systems and policies.
  • Audit ADP status changes to ensure accuracy.

In this role, you will be part of a larger, growing organization focused on improving patient outcomes, supporting our employees and strengthening the communities we serve.

The Payroll Administrator works effectively with the leadership team to ensure the success of the facility by completing the following:

CORE JOB DUTIES
  • Processing payroll and auditing the employee database regarding salary and pay
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures and policies, including payroll functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
  • Audit status change information in the ADP Payroll software to ensure employee information is accurate and up to date
OTHER REQUIRED TASKS
  • Support the Payroll Director in all aspects of payroll
  • Communicate with corporate and facility departments to increase payroll service performance and improve upon the payroll system and processes
  • Assist in month end close process
  • Assist in Accounting Department projects, including but not limited to payroll projects
  • Assist in audits, including but not limited to the annual financial statement audit, annual 401k audit and workers' compensation audits
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education
  • Minimum associate's degree in finance or accounting
  • In lieu of Associate's Degree, minimum 5 years' payroll experience
Experience
  • Minimum five years' experience in payroll position. Experience in Health/Behavioral Health related organization a plus. Experience in payroll with multi-states including California is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in ADP WorkforceNow preferred
