Job summary

Vizient in Irving, Texas, is seeking a payroll professional to ensure accurate, timely processing of payroll transactions, taxes, garnishments, and compliance across multi-state environments. You will audit data, maintain records, and support audits and reporting.

You\'ll collaborate with internal teams and clients, resolve inquiries, and drive process improvements. Experience with Workday and ADP Smart Compliance, plus Excel proficiency, are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant payroll experience.
  • Experience with Workday and ADP Smart Compliance.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, taxation, garnishments, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Process earnings, overtime, deductions, taxes, garnishments, off-cycle payments, fringe benefits, relocation expenses, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Review and audit payroll data to support accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, tax jurisdictions, and other payroll compliance activities.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconcile deductions, and support vendor funding, government reporting, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Support testing, enhancements, and implementations involving Workday and related payroll systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Research and resolve payroll inquiries involving pay, taxes, deductions, and other payroll matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients while maintaining confidentiality and professional judgment.
  • Participate in team training, departmental initiatives, special projects, and cross-functional efforts supporting operational excellence.

Summary

In this role, you will support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across payroll transactions, taxes, garnishments, reconciliations, reporting, and audits. You will resolve payroll inquiries, collaborate with internal teams and external clients, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen payroll accuracy, controls, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with payroll or HRIS systems, preferably Workday and ADP Smart Compliance.
  • Experience processing payroll adjustments, reconciliations, and garnishments.
  • Multi-state payroll experience preferred.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, taxation, garnishments, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to use approved AI tools while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, information security, and data privacy requirements.
Estimated Hiring Range

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $51,900.00 to $87,900.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
