Job summary

Alter Domus is seeking a Payments Associate to join the Payments Team. You will input, verify, and release wire transfers, meet critical deadlines, and maintain an accurate audit trail. The role emphasizes accuracy under pressure and collaboration to improve processes across our global offices.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in payments or treasury with strong Excel skills, and fluency in English. French language skills are a plus in our international environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience including processing transactions, review of documentation, data entry and cash reconciliation.
• Experience with treasury or financial accounting systems is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process wire transfers in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Meet deadlines for payment processing and bank cut-off times.
• Maintain accuracy under time pressure for urgent payments.
• Log and file supporting payment documentation for audit trail.

Your Responsibilities

The Payments Team will play a critical role across our Fund Administration or Corporate Services businesses. This role provides centralised support for the movement of money on behalf of our clients, aiding in fraud prevention and liaising with internal teams to meet client needs. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Following strict policies and procedures to input, verify, and release wire transfers through online banking platforms;
• Meeting critical deadlines for all payment processing work, adhering to client timelines and bank payment cut-off times;
• Maintaining high levels of accuracy, even when under time pressure in the case of urgent payments;
• Ensuring the timely and accurate logging and filing of all supporting documentation in relation to payments to ensure a clear audit trail;
• Working as part of the wider team to streamline production and enhance policies, procedures and workflows, suggesting new ideas and providing feedback from your day to day work.

YOUR PROFILE

What We'll Look For On Your CV

• Degree level educated in a relevant area such Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally including processing transactions, reviewing documentation, data entry and cash reconciliation;
• Experience with treasury, financial accounting or other transaction systems is a plus;
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience.

Monthly base salary

for this position is from 1,750 EUR to 2,670 EUR gross. Final offer will be determined based on your competences, qualifications and professional experiences.
