Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist to operate in a fully remote capacity within designated U.S. states, including North Carolina.

The role centers on deposits reconciliation, payment posting, and timely follow-up with clients and payers to ensure accurate cash application. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of medical insurance posting experience, a solid grasp of payer contracts and reimbursement rules, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contract & government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google applications.
• Skilled in using computer applications for payment posting with an understanding of A/R follow up.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement policies.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems experience a plus).
• Experience in performing tasks that require a basic understanding of accounting and math skills.
• Proactive curiosity and basic AI fluency to identify efficiency gains and streamline daily workflows in a fast-paced setting.

Responsabilités

• Review, investigate and reconcile deposits and supporting documentation.
• Investigate, research, and resolve outstanding deposits with clients and payers.
• Identify information to clear posting errors and follow ups.
• Participate in month end closing.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites when needed.
• Research unidentified payments and recoupment for appropriate resolution.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and notify leads or supervisors.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to the billing system and bank.
• Handle special projects as assigned.

Payment Reconciliation Specialist

Remote U.S. (designated states)

This position is fully remote and may be performed ideally from one of the following U.S. states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IN, IL, MA, MD, MI, MS, NC, OK, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI.

The Payment Reconciliation Specialist i s responsible for ensuring receipt of deposits, balance and reconciliation of daily, weekly, and monthly bank deposits, payment posting, and payment follow ups with a heavy focus on timeliness, quality, and accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain all logs and spreadsheets used for reconciliation. Review, investigate and reconcile deposits and supporting documentation to enable accurate posting.

• Investigate, research, and resolve outstanding deposits, reaching out to clients and payers for additional information as needed.

• Identify and research needed information to clear out posting errors and follow ups.

• Participate in month end closing.

• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites when the remittance is needed.

• Research unidentified payments and or recoupment to determine the appropriate resolution.

• Identify patterns and trends that indicate a potential issue and notify leads or supervisors.

• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.

• Reconcile daily cash deposits to the billing system and bank.

• Special projects and assignments as assigned.

Position Proficiencies and Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience

• Knowledge of payer contract & government reimbursement rules.
