Credit Genie in Philadelphia seeks a Payment Operations Lead to manage payment strategy across ACH and card networks. This senior role demands at least 7 years of experience in payments, with deep knowledge of operational challenges and systems handling millions of transactions daily.
The successful candidate will design optimized payment processing infrastructures and lead strategies to combat fraud. Comprehensive benefits, including medical coverage, flexible PTO, and fitness reimbursements, are offered.
Credit Genie is a mobile-first financial wellness platform designed to help individuals take control of their financial future. We leverage artificial intelligence to provide personalized insights and are building a financial ecosystem by offering tools and services that provide instant access to cash, and building credit. Our goal is to empower every customer to achieve long-term financial stability.
Founded in 2019 by Ed Harycki, former Swift Capital Founder (acquired by PayPal in 2017). Backed by Khosla Ventures and led by industry pioneers from companies such as PayPal, Square, and Cash App, we are well positioned to build the future of inclusive finance through cutting-edge technology and customer-centric solutions.
The systems behind how money moves are the most important systems we have. At Credit Genie, every payment—every ACH transfer, every card transaction, every settlement needs to be fast, accurate, and completely reliable. As we scale, that gets harder. That's why we're building this role.
We're looking for a Payment Operations Lead who has spent years inside payment networks, not just adjacent to them. You know how ACH works and where it breaks. You've built or operated systems processing millions of transactions per day and optimized them for speed, efficiency, and cost. You've navigated fraud, disputes, and the complex relationships between card networks, banking partners, and internal engineering teams.
This is a senior, high-ownership role. You'll own payment strategy end-to-end and drive execution across Risk, Engineering, Compliance, and Finance. You'll have the autonomy to shape what our payments infrastructure looks like at the next stage of scale, and you'll be accountable for making it work.
We're open to candidates from a product management background or a payments operations background. What we're not flexible on is depth. You need to know ACH and card networks inside and out.
