Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Software Engineer for the Payload Integrations team. You will design, build, and maintain software that brings sensors, radios, and mission payloads onto autonomous vehicles.

Collaborate with hardware, electrical, autonomy, and systems teams, plus external payload vendors, to create dependable, well-tested software. You will work in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment, with a focus on rigor, testing, and safe integration of arm/munition related payloads, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience in embedded, robotics or hardware integration.
• Strong experience with Rust and/or C++, plus Python proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software integrations for payloads on autonomous vehicles.
• Define clean interfaces between payloads and vehicle software stack.
• Develop device drivers and protocol handlers from ICDs and datasheets.
• Build HIL, simulation and emulation test infrastructure to validate payloads.
• Support integration events, ground tests and flight tests; troubleshoot across software/hardware boundaries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver payload integrations on tight schedules.
• Contribute to safety-critical software for arming/fuzing payloads with high rigor.
