Job summary

BlackJack Paving LLC in Fairburn, GA seeks a President to lead the division’s overall management, growth and profitability. This senior role requires a strategic thinker with extensive construction/paving leadership experience and a track record of delivering large-scale projects within budget.

You will work with Pave America’s executive team to align Blackjack’s objectives with company-wide goals, drive performance, and expand market presence while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in construction or paving, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of large-scale project management and growth.
• Strong financial acumen and budget/P&L experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.

One of Pave America’s subsidiaries – Blackjack Paving based in Fairburn, GA – is hiring a President to lead the company.

Position Overview:

The President will be responsible for the overall management, growth, and profitability of Blackjack. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the construction or paving industry. The President will work closely with Pave America’s President, COO, and other executive leaders to ensure Blackjack's alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

Leadership and Strategy:

• Develop and implement the division’s strategic plan in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Provide strong leadership to division managers and staff, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Operational Management:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the paving division, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Implement and monitor performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Drive operational excellence through process improvements, innovation, and best practices.
• Prepare and manage the division’s annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
• Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of financial performance to the Pave America executive team.

Business Development:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the division’s market presence and increase revenue.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote the division’s capabilities and achievements.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Address and resolve any compliance or safety issues promptly and effectively.

Team Development:

• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the division.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for managers and staff.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
