Job summary

PROtect, LLC in Beaumont, TX seeks an experienced NDT technician to inspect structures and pipelines using x-ray, ultrasound, and related methods. You will apply PAUT, Shear Wave, gamma and other NDT techniques to identify defects and ensure compliance with procedures.

The role requires completing documentation, driving Company vehicles, and mentoring assigned assistants, with flexibility for extended on-site work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PAUT training required with 80 hours documented.
• 320 PAUT on-the-job hours documented.
• Demonstrated NDT skill with Shear Wave and Phased Array.
• Ability to travel and work long hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct NDT testing of components/materials per codes and procedures.
• Utilize multiple NDT methods (PAUT, Shear Wave, X-ray, etc.).
• Identify defects using appropriate testing technique.
• Load, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment as required.
• Complete documentation and work orders on time.
• Drive company vehicles and maintain safe driving record.
• Provide instruction to assistants and ensure team safety.
