Job summary

Flexsteel Industries Inc. in High Point, NC, is seeking an experienced marker maker/pattern cutter to support leather cutting and pattern development.

You will create markers, set match points, and program cut files for a multi-ply cutting system, while assisting with pattern design and process improvements. The role involves collaborating with product design and manufacturing teams, documenting processes, and mentoring junior staff to ensure efficient production and adherence to quality

Qualifications

• Create markers and cut files for all layouts.
• Set match points on digitized pattern components and generate match markers/cut files.
• Program cut files for the multi-ply cutting system.
• Assist with basic pattern design functions including modification of digitized pattern components, markers, and cut files.

Responsibilities

• Creation of files and components for leather cutting demands.
• Load cutting and usage information into AS400 as needed.
• Support product design and manufacturing with troubleshooting and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Lead process documentation and standardization for knowledge transfer.
• Mentor junior team members in marker making, cutting programming, and system usage.
• Communicate cross-functionally to ensure timely project management.
• All other duties as assigned.
