Job summary

Allied Universal in Memphis, TN is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Readiness to monitor and safeguard healthcare facilities and patients. You will perform unarmed patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires compliance with security procedures, background checks, and conceivably a driving position license if assigned. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, report observations and incidents, and help to deter unauthorized access through visible presence and adherence to security-related procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and maintaining an orderly environment while treating all individuals with professionalism and respect.

Skills
