Job summary

The Green River Police Department in Green River, Wyoming, is hiring both entry-level patrol officers and experienced lateral hires. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with specialized law enforcement training is required.
• Must be able to obtain Wyoming P.O.S.T. certification within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate patrol automobile to prevent crime and enforce traffic laws.
• Respond to dispatches and investigate incidents; conduct crime scene investigations.
• Note and report traffic hazards; assist in traffic control at emergencies and prepare incident reports.
• Make arrests, issue citations, serve warrants, and provide directions/information.
• Perform school resource officer duties or other assigned roles as needed.
• Inspect establishments with alcohol or entertainment licenses; investigate complaints and preserve evidence.
• Continue training in law enforcement topics and appear in court when required.
