Job summary

Under supervision, officers will process arrests, coordinate with detectives, and contribute to community safety by observing problem areas and ensuring safe travel for residents and visitors alike.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age at appointment and not over 40 at appointment.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Residence must be within 60 minutes of duty station for recall.
• Visual acuity: 20/30 in each eye with or without correction.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly visible, professional police presence while conducting patrols in a defined geographic area.
• Answer calls when crime is suspected or emergencies occur and take appropriate action to prevent crime or apprehend offenders.
• Initiate reports, affect arrests, process prisoners, and conduct investigations in cooperation with detectives.
