City of Springdale Police Department seeks a Police Officer to protect life and property, enforce laws, and respond to calls for service. The role includes patrol duties, preliminary investigations, and traffic enforcement, with on-call shifts to cover 24/7 operations.

The officer will perform interviews, collect evidence, issue citations, and assist with court proceedings. Field training and cross-agency collaboration are integral parts of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus specialized training and/or additional college courses and related experience.
• Must possess a valid Arkansas Driver’s License.
• Must obtain Basic State Law Enforcement Training Certification and related certifications (BAC Datamaster-Operator, Radar, SFST, Driving Course, Defensive Tactics, Firearms).
• ACIC Level I or CJIS Certification.

Responsabilités

• Respond to calls, conduct investigations, and control traffic.
• Prepare detailed narrative reports and coordinate with prosecutors and courts.
• Train probationary officers when assigned.
