Qualifications

• Minimum 19 years of age or older.
• Graduation from high school or possession of an accredited equivalency diploma.
• Certified as a Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Florida through CJSTC.
• Be of good moral character.

Responsibilities

• Patrols a designated area to preserve the peace and enforce traffic laws.
• Respond to calls for service including disturbances, theft, and other felony/misdemeanor violations.
• Administers first aid at scenes of crashes and to sick or injured persons.
• Conducts preliminary investigations, collects evidence, and interviews involved parties.
• Prepares written reports and criminal complaints; initiates arrests.
• Assists other agencies and provides information to the public.
