Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, with no experience required.
• Valid South Carolina Driver's License; and
• Class I Law Enforcement Certification from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy (within 1 year of hire).

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas of the County and responds to calls for service.
• Enforces local, state and federal laws relating to public safety and welfare.
• Assists with criminal investigations; interviews witnesses and collects evidence.
• Prepares cases for prosecution and provides court testimony as necessary.
• Maintains reports and documentation including incident, accident and warrants.
