Job summary

Brazoria County is seeking a Patrol Deputy to perform sworn law enforcement duties to preserve the peace, enforce laws, and provide service to the community. You will patrol assigned areas, respond to calls, investigate incidents, and conduct arrests as required.

The role requires a Basic Peace Officer’s License and compliance with minimum requirements. You will work indoors and outdoors, maintain weapons proficiency, document incidents, and testify in court as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic Peace Officer’s License.
• 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Be a United States Citizen (Born or Naturalized).
• Honorable Discharge from Military Service (If applicable)

Responsibilities

• Maintain patrols of assigned areas to deter crime and respond to incidents.
• Conduct investigations, preserve evidence, and arrest offenders per procedures.
• Provide testimony in court and execute court orders.
• Maintain firearms proficiency and comply with fitness standards.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of incidents and actions.
