Job summary

Qualifications

• Possession of valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• BLET certification required before sworn duty assignment.

Responsibilities

• Regular patrol of town and extra-territorial jurisdiction and response to calls for service.
• Assist in arrest of suspects and conduct initial investigations.
• Prepare written reports and use databases for research and casework.
• Serve as a backup to other officers and participate in court proceedings.
• Control traffic and enforce local, state, and federal laws and ordinances.
• Engage community to build relationships and partnerships.
