TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale is seeking an experienced marine professional to serve as a Patrol Captain and Assistant Supervisor.

This hands-on leadership role combines active vessel operations with supporting daily patrol activities, crew performance, training, safety, and customer service. The Assistant Supervisor leads by example, makes sound decisions under pressure, and adapts to changing operational needs.

Qualifications

• USCG Master License with a minimum 100 Ton Near Coastal rating.
• Commercial Assistance Towing Endorsement.
• Radar Endorsement.
• Current STCW certification.
• Current TWIC Card and valid passport.
• Open Water Scuba certification or higher.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proven marine towing and salvage experience with strong boat-handling and docking skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate towing vessels single-handedly in varied marine environments and conditions.
• Respond to disabled vessels, groundings, emergency calls, salvage incidents, and long-distance towing assignments.
• Lead and mentor Captains and crew; assist with training and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate daily operations with Patrol Supervisor; maintain clear communication with Dispatch and management.
• Prepare and file service reports, work orders, and incident documentation accurately and on time.
• Conduct vessel inspections and perform routine maintenance to keep fleet safe and ready.
