Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, report suspicious behavior, and document observations and activities in required logs or reports.
• Assist with access control, visitor processing, and communications with site contacts and/or first responders during routine operations or emergencies.
