Ellis Medicine is seeking a Transporter to assist in the preparation for transport and to transport patients safely to and from various areas of the hospital, ensuring timely service and patient satisfaction.

Requirements include a minimum of 8th grade education; High School diploma or equivalent preferred; 18+ years old; 1 year healthcare transport experience preferred. Training will be provided to new employees, with adherence to privacy and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8th grade education required.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year transport experience in a healthcare preferred.
• Minimum Age Requirement: Applicant must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for employment in a Patient Transportation position.

Responsabilités

• Assists in the preparation for transport and transports patients safely, in a timely and efficient manner, to and from various areas of the hospital.
• Follows appropriate patient instructions from authorized Nursing staff and Technicians.
• Responds to assignments and completes assignments in a timely manner, notifies dispatcher when job assignments are completed or if there is a delay.
• Observes and reports any obvious condition changes or problems and patient may have.
• Transports objects such as lab specimens, medical supplies, medical equipment, other patient related items, etc., to and from various areas of the hospital.
• Communicates with patients, patients’ families and staff to ensure patient satisfaction and excellent customer service is provided.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and reports issues and safety concerns immediately to supervisor.
• Follows safety guidelines and proper lifting techniques.
• Provide on the job training to new employees.
• Complete required training as assigned.Adhere to patient privacy policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality.
• Responds promptly to customer requests, provide excellent customer service and collaborates with other departments throughout the organization.
• Complies with Hospital and department policies, work rules and requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned.
