Responsibilities

• Transport patients to clinical, ancillary and support areas using wheelchairs, stretchers or beds.
• Transfer patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Transport patients during discharge to the hospital lobby.
• Verify and confirm patient identification and correct medical chart before transport.
• Disinfect and maintain equipment and assist with safety checks.
