Job summary

UofL Health's University Hospital - UMC in Louisville, KY is seeking a Transporter to provide safe, reliable patient transportation across the medical complex. The role requires moving patients including neonates to geriatrics and completing tasks per hospital policies.

The incumbent will learn to use TeleTracking and hospital information systems, maintain patient safety, and collaborate with nurses and staff to support efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior hospital transport experience is preferred.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, reliable patient transportation across the medical complex.
• Moves patients including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Demonstrates competency in moving, lifting, dressing, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Adheres to department and hospital policies; maintains confidentiality and professionalism.
