NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Patient Transporter - Per Diem - Environmental Services-Transport. Under supervision, you will transport patients within the facility and perform cleaning duties to maintain clean, safe areas. You will move equipment and ensure proper patient handoffs while following hospital policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, good English reading/writing skills, and preference for 1 year of related experience. Per diem with hourly pay.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and write English to verify assignments and read labels.
• Preferred one year of on-the-job experience in sanitation and hospital operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, visitors and staff.

Mansioni

• Transport patients to and from various locations within the facility.
• Discharge patients to main lobby areas and assist with organization of decedents per policy.
• Perform assigned cleaning tasks to maintain sanitary hospital areas.
• Move equipment and supplies as directed and follow safety procedures.
• Utilize Teletracking for assignments and document transport details.
