Job summary

Mercy, a leading medical center in Alabama, seeks a Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment between departments. You will adhere to safety protocols and body mechanics while supporting clinical teams.

You will use Epic software to track patient locations and equipment movement, maintain PAR levels, and collaborate with coworkers across departments. A High School Diploma and at least two years of customer service are preferred, along with BLS CPR/AED certification.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment between departments within the Medical Center.
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment across locations.
• Use Epic software to track patient location and equipment movement.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
