Mercy is seeking a dedicated transporter to move patients and equipment across the Medical Center, performing assigned patient-related tasks with attention to safety and body mechanics.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
  • BLS CPR/AED certification is required or preferred.
  • Two years of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to operate safely with patient transport equipment and partners.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
