Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Transport professional in Arlington Heights, IL. The role is per diem with 30-40 hours per week, working 7:00am–3:30pm and rotating weekends/holidays. You will transport patients safely within the hospital, assist with admissions, discharges, and movement to diagnostic testing and back, while handling equipment as needed.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED. CPR BLS and AED training are required within 3 months of hire.

Hourly Pay Range

Hourly Pay Range: $18.23 - $25.52. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Position: Patient Transport
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Per Diem - 30-40 hours per week
Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm with rotating weekends and holiday schedules

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to Director of Patient Transport, the position is responsible for the safe and efficient physical transport of patients within the hospital including admission and discharge transports, unit to diagnostic testing department transports and return trips. May be required to transport equipment and supplies necessary to support the mission of the department and/or the hospital.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Certifications

• CPR BLS (American Heart Association healthcare provider) within 3 months of hire
• AED training within 3 months of hire

• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact in a positive manner with patients, their families, nursing staff and physicians.
• Verbal and written English skills necessary to clearly and effectively communicate information.
• Organizational skills necessary to prioritize and complete transport tasks in a timely manner.

• Ability to use and apply correct body mechanics when positioning and transporting patients.
