Job summary

Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center in Pequannock Township, NJ, is seeking a Full-Time Patient Transporter. Hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, including every other weekend and every other holiday. Starting rate $18.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting patient movement, escorting patients, carrying luggage, and transporting patients within the facility. CPR certification is preferred and English proficiency is required. Must lift up to 50 lbs and work under time constraints.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to work under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Ascertains patient name, destination, mode of travel, time, and other data following instructions.
• Guides or escorts incoming patients from admitting office or reception to designated area.
• Carries patient's luggage.
• Assists patients in walking to prevent accidents or transports non-ambulatory patients using wheelchair.
• Transports patients within facility using bed, wheeled cart, or wheelchair.
• Delivers messages, mail, medical records, and other items.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications/Requirements:HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.Ability to work well under time constraints.While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat and stands for long periods of time, bends, lifts, pushes and pulls up to 50 lbs.Relevant Experience:CPR certification preferred.
