Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Transporter to support patient flow within the hospital. You will transport patients, equipment, and supplies while maintaining a clean, safe environment and collaborating with care teams.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and familiarity with hospital systems (Epic, Outlook). BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to use hospital systems and technology.
• BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
• 6 months of customer service OR 6 months of volunteer experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients throughout the hospital.
• Assist patients on/off beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
• Clean and disinfect transport equipment before & after use.
• Transport charts, lab specimens, and medications (non-controlled).
• Communicate effectively with nurses and care teams.
• Meet productivity and service standards.
• Maintain safety standards and proper equipment storage.
• Use Epic Transport Dispatch system efficiently.
• Follow HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and staff.
