Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Patient Transporter to ensure safe, timely, and compassionate transport throughout the hospital. You will work independently and with a team to move patients, equipment, and supplies while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with hospital systems are needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients throughout the hospital
• Assist patients on/off beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs
• Clean and disinfect transport equipment before and after use
• Transport charts, lab specimens, and medications (non-controlled)
• Communicate effectively with nurses and care teams
• Meet productivity and service standards
• Maintain safety standards and proper equipment storage
• Use Epic Transport Dispatch system efficiently
• Follow HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and staff
