Job summary

MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA is hiring a Patient Transporter for the Evening shift (Fri/Sat/Sun, 10:00am–10:30pm). You will transport patients, beds, oxygen, and equipment across the campus, collaborating with nursing staff to ensure safe, timely care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, current BLS certification, and the ability to complete in-house patient lift training within six months.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • In-house training on patient lift and mobility within 6 months of placement.
  • One year of transport or related healthcare experience preferred.
  • Certifications may be required based on hospital needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and timely transport of patients, beds, oxygen, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
  • Respond to STAR codes by transporting patient lift equipment and assisting nursing staff as needed.
  • Support units by cleaning equipment and stocking supplies.
  • Partner with a service-oriented attitude and sound decision-making.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $21.27 - $32.36 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
