Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter to safely and efficiently move patients to various hospital areas while maintaining patient comfort and dignity.

You will assist clinical staff, greet visitors and help with transporting specimens and equipment, supporting a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform work that requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas.
• Assist personnel in transferring patients to beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are currently recruiting for a Transporter to join our team! As our Transporter, you will be responsible for greeting and transporting patients to and from all major ancillary departments using proper safety techniques and mode of transportation. We are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role

• You will transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• You will assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• You will greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.
• You will collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.

What Qualifications you will need

• At least one year of related experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required
