Job summary

Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., seeks a dynamic FT Van Driver to join our team. The PRN role involves transporting patients to and from the facility with careful observation and safety, while coordinating with staff and maintaining vehicle logs.

Applicants should have a valid class-specific driver's license, CPR certification, and a clean driving record; training in seclusion and restraint (SAMA) is required within 90 days. Overtime/flexible hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid, class specific driver's license for patient transportation.
• Must agree to MVD check as part of the background check.
• Must have valid CPR card prior to start date.
• Must be 18 years or older and have a good driving record.
• Must complete SAMA training within 90 days of employment.
• May work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the facility with continuous observation and safety.
• Provide transportation with observation, interaction, and role modeling.
• Report van maintenance problems to the Transportation Coordinator Operations.
• Maintain van log with updated addresses and phone numbers.
• Communicate with Transportation Coordinator and staff regarding patient care.
