Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients, visitors and employees. Transports a variety of items including equipment, supplies, records, labs, and other items.
• May assist with obtaining basic patient demographic and consent information. Ensures documentation and paperwork are reviewed for completeness.
• For patient transport, assists patients entering/exiting vehicles including wheelchair or stretcher transfers.
• Assists with maintenance of transport vehicle and equipment. Supports urgent transportation needs.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
