Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles is seeking a Transporter to assist nursing staff by transporting patients, locating equipment, and obtaining charts. You will move patients across the hospital campus via wheelchair or gurney and support delivery systems to boost productivity and efficiency.

The role requires High School diploma and customer service experience; prior transporter experience in acute care is preferred. This is an on-site position supporting hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred; previous transporter experience in acute care helps.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by wheelchair or gurney across the hospital campus.
• Assist nursing staff by locating equipment and obtaining charts or information.
• Maintain gurneys and wheelchairs in working order and ensure safe transport of patients and specimens.
• Demonstrate safe practices during all transports and document any repairs or issues.
