Responsibilities

Transport patients and their belongings safely to various areas to facilitate patient care.
Safely move patients with traction, IVs, drainage apparatus, oxygen and other encumbrances.
Notify dispatcher of status of tasks and follow instructions.
Verify patient identity before transport using two identifiers.
Assist patients into and out of vehicles at entrances.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Transport decedent bodies to the morgue and complete documentation as required.
Adhere to OSHA regulations and local, state, and federal laws.
Maintain records to ensure compliance with policies and codes.
