Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a part-time Patient Transporter. The role requires working 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM with every other weekend schedule and starts at $18.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include guiding patients, transporting them within the facility, and delivering items as needed. The position calls for a high school diploma or GED, ability to read, write and speak English, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Stand for long periods; bends, lifts, pushes and pulls up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ascertain patient name, destination, mode of travel, time, and other data.
• Guide or escort incoming patients from admitting office or reception desk to designated area.
• Carry patient's luggage.
• Assist patient in walking to prevent accidents or transport non-ambulatory patients using a wheelchair.
• Transport patient, alone or with assistance, within the facility during stay.
• Deliver messages, mail, medical records, and other items.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
