Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients from one area of the hospital to another as assigned.
• Transports materials, specimens, supplies and equipment as assigned.
• Transfers bodies of expired patients to the Morgue.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and ensures safe-keeping of medical records during transport.
• Communicates important information to appropriate Nursing Personnel.
• Demonstrates safety awareness through daily equipment checks and reporting defective equipment.
• Completes annual Mandatory Class update package.
• Responds to pages/calls and remains accessible during duty hours.
