Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Windham Hospital is seeking a Transportation Aide to move patients between departments, via wheelchair or stretcher, under supervision of the Technical Director or designee. Shift Detail: Monday & Tuesday 3pm-8:30pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 3pm-8pm.

The role supports patient care activities and requires a high school diploma; CNA/Nursing Assistant experience in acute care is preferred and Nursing Assistant certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience within the last three years as a CNA or Nursing Assistant in acute care preferred.
• Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher between hospital departments as instructed.
• Assist with routine patient care activities.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Technical Director or his/her designee, the Transportation Aide will transport patients ranging in age from neonate to geriatric via wheelchair or stretcher between hospital departments as instructed by hospital personnel and will assist with routine patient care activities.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: Experience within the last three years as a CNA or a Nursing Assistant in acute care preferred.

LICENSURE / CERTIFCATION: Nursing Assistant certification preferred. CPR certification preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent.
