Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) seeks a Per Diem Transportation Aide at UHS Wilson Medical Center to assist with patient escorting and the delivery of equipment and supplies in accordance with service standards.

The role requires CPR within three months of hire, and prior hospital experience is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent is encouraged; shifts are assigned by management on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (IEP diploma acceptable).
• Prior hospital experience as aide/orderly or transportation aide preferred.
• CPR certification within three months of hire is required.

# Position Overview

Perform established procedures and functions related to handling and escorting of patients in accordance with established service delivery standards. Delivery of equipment and supplies.

Primary Department, Division, or Unit:

Patient Transportation and Linen Services, UHS Wilson Medical Center

Work Shift and Schedule:

This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.

Compensation Range:

$17.05 - $22.17 per hour, depending on experience

This position is not eligible for benefits.

Preferred:

• - High School Diploma or equivalent or IEP diploma
• - Previous hospital experience as aide/orderly, transportation aide or related position.

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• - CPR certification within three months of hire

• - Current, un-restricted Driver’s License
