Job summary

A healthcare staffing company is seeking an experienced phlebotomist for a floater position in South Charleston, WV. Responsibilities include collecting blood, urine drug screens, and paternity samples from patients across various locations. Job description

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

Must Exhibit Proficiency in all of the Following:

• Blood Collection by Venipuncture and Capillary Technique from Patients of all age groups,
• Urine Drug Screen Collections,
• Paternity Collections,
• LCM/Cyber Tools,
• TestCup,
• Pediatric blood collections,
• Difficult draws (patients in mental retardation facilities, long-term care facilities, drug rehabilitation facilities, prisons, psychiatric facilities, or similar facilities).
• Has comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety, and is able to effectively communicate the importance of compliance and safety to other employees.
• Possess the ability and skills necessary to provide orientation and training for patient service technicians.
• This is a floater position. Will cover client offices and PSCs anytime between 7am and 6pm. Will pay mileage. May have to cover the areas of Charleston, South Charleston, Man, Madison and Clay.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3Years Experience as PST or Phlebotomist
• High School Completion
• Valid Driver's License along with a clean driving record.
• Experience with patients of all ages.
• Prefer candidates with experience in a reference/clinical laboratory or hospital.
• Must pass data entry test with 3000 ksph and less than 10% error rate on 2 or fewer tries.
