Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation in California is seeking a Patient Services Representative to be the first contact for patients, physicians, and clinic staff across phone, chat, email, and text channels. You will collect demographics, verify insurance eligibility, and schedule appointments using electronic systems while maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent service.

You will de‑escalate issues, meet quality metrics, and support referrals and authorizations as needed,

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED General studies.
• Minimum of 6 months experience scheduling patient appointments, either in-person or via phone.
• Experience with computer systems, including Windows-based programs and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Resolve caller inquiries completely during the initial contact.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders, verbally and in writing.
• Schedule appointments, provide information, and process all patient requests efficiently and accurately.
• Provide high-level customer service with active listening, problem-solving, and professional calm.
• Proactively improve patient experience, maximize opportunities, and ensure a professional work environment.
