Job summary

Providence Centralia Hospital is seeking a front desk/clerical support team member to provide essential front office services for patients and staff. The role includes coordinating clinic communications, collecting and routing records, and handling scheduling and clerical tasks to support a seamless patient experience.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience.

This position works under the direction and supervision of the Clinic Supervisor, Practice Manager or appropriate staff to support in the delivery of cost-effective, clinically competent, reliable healthcare in a safe, respectful manner that ensures patient respect and dignity. Provide effective and efficient front office services to patients; coordinate internal and external clinic phone communications among staff, patients, and providers; accurately collect records and ensure distribution to appropriate staff via computer and/or manual systems; perform clerical, scheduling, and records activities in support of patients and staff. Participates as a fully engaged member of the care team, by demonstrated commitment to service and compassion for the patients of Providence and their families.

Required Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• 1 year of Customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Two years of community college/business school training.
• Coursework/Training: Additional course work in business or health care related subjects.
• 1 year of experience working in a medical setting.
• Physician group practice.
• Experience with electronic medical record.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
