Job summary

The Patient Services Specialist at Covenant Medical Group supports on-site registration and arrival for both scheduled and unscheduled visits, collecting accurate demographics and insurance details while handling patient liability at the time of service.

You will perform financial clearance duties on assigned accounts during registration downtimes and assist with valuables, while delivering professional, friendly service in a campus-wide, on-site setting in Lubbock, TX.

Qualifications

• 6 months of healthcare experience in business office, hospital or medical office setting.

Description

Under the direction of the PAS manager, the Patient Services Specialist is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions. This individual completes the registration for unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service. This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes. In addition, this individual is responsible for miscellaneous client service activities including valuables collection and providing basic customer service. The Patient Services Specialist greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
