Job summary

Job Title: Patient Service RepresentativeJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative who will serve as the primary point of contact for patient relations both in person and by phone. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to assist patients in resolving concerns and escalating issues when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist in resolving patient concerns, escalating as appropriate.

• Check patients in and out, collect co-payments, provide receipts, and reconcile payments.

• Verify patient demographics and insurance information using CS-Link/Epic.

• Schedule appointments and complete patient registration.

• Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types.

• Handle patient and provider correspondence.

• Explain policies, procedures, and services to patients.

• Sanitize workspace using provided supplies following department guidelines.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.

• 1 year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.

• Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent experience working as a Patient Service Representative.

• Experience with CS-Link/Epic.

• Understanding of medical terminology.

Work Environment

This is a day shift position from 8 AM to 5 PM, located on-site in West Hollywood. It is a strictly temporary role with potential for renewal.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
