Job summary

The US Oncology Network/Texas Breast Specialists is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join the Breast Surgery team at the Georgetown location. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm with no weekends or major holidays.

The role supports front office duties and ensures a smooth patient experience from scheduling to checkout. Experience in medical office administration is valued, with levels ranging from entry to senior based on experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–3 years of medical business office experience preferred.
  • Medical office scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Check patients in and out for appointments and collect accurate demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments.
  • Verify insurance information and ensure required documentation is completed prior to appointments.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments, imaging, procedures, referrals and other patient care needs.
  • Coordinate outside imaging, procedures, referrals, and records requests to support continuity of care.
  • Reschedule patient appointments as needed and communicate changes clearly.
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries, routing calls to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Support providers, clinical staff, and administrative team with daily front office needs.
  • Keep work areas organized and ensure patient-related documentation is handled timely.

The US Oncology Network/Texas Breast Specialists is looking for a Patient Services Representative to join our Breast Surgery team! This position will support the Texas Breast Specialists Georgetown location. Typical work week is Monday through Friday 8am - 4:30pm with no weekends or major holidays!

This position can be a level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience.

What does the Patient Services Representative do?

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for supporting daily front office operations for Texas Breast Specialists. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients and helps ensure a smooth, professional, and positive experience throughout the scheduling, check-in, and check-out process. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner.
  • Check patients in and out for appointments while ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information is collected and updated.
  • Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments according to office procedures.
  • Verify insurance information and ensure required documentation is completed prior to appointments when applicable.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments, imaging, procedures, referrals, and other patient care needs as directed.
  • Coordinate outside imaging, procedures, referrals, and records requests to support continuity of care.
  • Reschedule patient appointments as needed and communicate changes clearly and professionally.
  • Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and route calls or messages to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA and organizational compliance standards.
  • Support providers, clinical staff, and administrative team members with daily front office needs.
  • Maintain organized work areas and ensure patient-related documentation is handled accurately and timely.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Patient Services Representative will have the following background and experience:

Level 1
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • This position is entry level and requires 0-3 years of medical business office experience.
  • Medical office scheduling experience preferred.
Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements)
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years medical business office experience.
Level Sr (in addition to level 1 and 2 requirements)
  • Minimum five years medical business office experience.
