Job summary

CORA Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to float between Dania Beach and North Dade, providing friendly front-desk support and ensuring a positive first impression for every patient.

In this role you will greet patients, manage calls, verify insurance, collect co-pays, scan documents, and help keep the clinic organized and compliant with CDC guidelines, while supporting a collaborative outpatient care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Recent customer service experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication, organization and time management skills.
• Reliable, honest and adaptable in fast-paced team environments.
• Preferred: healthcare office experience and Spanish fluency.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and build rapport through in-person and phone interactions.
• Screen and answer incoming calls promptly; take messages and relay information.
• Verify outpatient therapy insurance benefits and discuss financial responsibilities.
• Manage incoming physician referrals and prescriptions; communicate first visit expectations.
• Scan insurance cards and paperwork into patient files.
• Collect co-pays/deductibles, provide receipts, and balance daily collections.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment per CDC guidelines.

What You’ll Do

As a Patient Services Coordinator at CORA, you’ll:

• Greet patients warmly and build rapport through in-person and phone interactions.
• Screen and answer incoming calls promptly; take messages, and relay information as needed.
• Verify outpatient therapy insurance benefits (where applicable) and advise patients of financial responsibilities such as co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance.
• Manage incoming physician referrals and prescriptions; communicate first visit expectations to new patients.
• Scan insurance cards, ID cards, and relevant paperwork into patient files.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles, provide receipts, balance daily collections, and submit charges to the Clinic Manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment; sanitize spaces according to CDC guidelines.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED
• Recent customer service experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Reliable, honest, and adaptable in fast-paced team environments
• Preferred: Experience in a healthcare office, familiarity with basic medical terminology, and fluency in Spanish.
