Job summary

CORA Physical Therapy is hiring a Patient Services Coordinator at the North Jacksonville Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. You will be the first point of contact, greeting patients, handling calls, verifying benefits, and guiding patients through financial aspects of care.

You’ll also manage referrals, scan documents, collect payments, and keep the front desk organized and welcoming, while maintaining high standards of patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Recent customer service experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication, organization and time management skills.
• Reliable, honest and adaptable in fast-paced team environments.
• Preferred: Healthcare office experience and fluency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and build rapport in person and by phone.
• Screen and answer incoming calls; take messages and relay information.
• Verify outpatient therapy insurance benefits and explain financial responsibilities.
• Manage incoming referrals and prescriptions; communicate first visit expectations.
• Scan insurance and ID cards into patient files.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles, balance daily collections, and submit charges.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming clinic environment and sanitize per CDC guidelines.

What You'll Do

As a Patient Services Coordinator at CORA, you’ll:

• Greet patients warmly and build rapport through in-person and phone interactions.
• Screen and answer incoming calls promptly; take messages, and relay information as needed.
• Verify outpatient therapy insurance benefits (where applicable) and advise patients of financial responsibilities such as co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance.
• Manage incoming physician referrals and prescriptions; communicate first visit expectations to new patients.
• Scan insurance cards, ID cards, and relevant paperwork into patient files.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles, provide receipts, balance daily collections, and submit charges to the Clinic Manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment; sanitize spaces according to CDC guidelines.

What You'll Need

• Reliable, honest, and adaptable in fast-paced team environments
