Jefferson Health Plans seeks a Patient Services Associate II to professionally handle arrival/departure activities and coordinate patient flow. The role emphasizes courteous interaction, data verification, and processing of pre-certifications for procedures within a fast-paced office setting.

The candidate will support the Jefferson Experience by ensuring accurate patient demographics, insurance verification, and referrals while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and office policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Job Details

This position is 100% in office. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. There will be one evening per week when the office operates until 6:00 PM, either Tuesday or Thursday, depending on the office schedule.

The Patient Services Associate (PSA) II enhances the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities associated with visits to the practice/department. Obtains pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures, verifies insurance, referrals and patient demographic information. The PSA II supports delivery of the Jefferson Experience by placing emphasis on the prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors to maintain an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms.

• Processes check in and/or check out, point of service activities and/or scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
