Job summary

RadNet in California is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join a patient-centered team. You will greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner, verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures, and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation in a fast-paced radiology setting.

You will collect co-pays, answer incoming calls, schedule and reschedule appointments, and guide patients through prep and safety protocols while safeguarding patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Radiology or healthcare office experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Verify insurance and patient information; obtain signatures and complete documentation.
• Collect co-pays and fees.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments and notify staff.
• Provide prep and safety directions and facility navigation.
• Coordinate with back-office staff for timely patient care.
• Safegard patient health information and on-site medications.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.

When you join usas a Patient Service Representative , you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21 st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will

• Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Obtain or verify proper insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
• Collect and log all co-pays and fees
• Answer/transfer incoming phone calls.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel new or current patients, confirm appointments and notify staff of changes when necessary.
• Give patients appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols, and provide directions to facilities if needed.
• Coordinate with the back-office staff for timely and effective care of patients
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• High School Diploma or GED
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Strong multitasking and communication skills

  Experience providing exceptional customer service

• Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office experience is preferred.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $23.00 / Per Hour
