Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests, confirm identity, provide visit information.
• Handle check-in and check-out processes as directed.
• Update patient demographics and insurance details as needed.
• Register patients as needed and obtain consents/authorizations.
• Collect co-payments, past-due balances, and point-of-service payments.
• Post payments, process billing information, and balance cash drawer.
• Keep waiting areas clean and comfortable; inform delays or status changes.
• Schedule appointments as necessary; assist ICCs as needed.

Salary range: $18.47 - $24.01 per hour. Placement within the range depends on relevant work experience and internal equity. Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients and guests, greeting them on arrival, confirming identity, and providing information related to their visit.
• Completes check-in and check-out functions as directed.
• Confirms and updates patient identification and demographic/insurance information.
• Completes patient registration as needed.
• Obtains patient consents/authorizations.
• Collects co-payments, past-due balances, and point-of-service payments.
• Posts payments, processes billing information, and performs end-of-day cash drawer closing.
• Keeps waiting areas clean and comfortable.
• Informs patients of delays or changes in appointment status.
• Schedules appointments as necessary.
• For PSRs in the Immediate Care Clinics (ICC), floats to other ICCs/departments as needed.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in a customer service position.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Bilingual.
